English Drama Workshops Inspirational Journey

Grounded in the overwhelming success received by the pervious performance, this year we cooperate with the professional Drama team “Theatre Noir”, to host English Drama Workshops in both summer and Friday Multi-intelligence (MI) periods.
Echoing with the theme “Inspirational Journey”, the team has chosen the English classic “My Fair Lady” as a reference framework for the script. In other words, renowned characters like Eliza and Higgins were played by our Ka Chi students, classical music “The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain” as well as dances at the royal ballroom were all exciting scenes to be looked forward. The students wouldn’t let us down! They dressed up in colorful costumes, exquisite accessories of any kind to be seen, and narrated the lines as if they were indeed part of the story. Highlight should be placed on Eliza, starred by our senior form student Macky, who portrayed vividly the dramatic transformation from working class accent to upper class royal accent in her speech. Till now the exciting chant from Higgins, “I think she’s got it”, played by Tommy another senior student, was still one of our most gripping moments throughout the play.
The performance would not have been possible were it not for the guidance of our dramatized tutor Yentl and generous assistance from teachers. Thanks for all the inspirations and efforts they have fostered, both in themselves and others. The coming journey in the MI performance is expected to be an even greater success!
